The Coral Castle was built by Edward Leedskalnin as a tribute to his unrequited love when his sweetheart and fiancee Agnes Scuffs canceled their wedding just one day prior to the event. Brokenhearted but determined. Edward Leedskalnin set out towards creating an almost magical place of carvings and sculptures using coral rocks and skills he had learnt as a byproduct of belonging from a family of stone masons who originated from Latvia.

The Coral Castle is indeed one of the most astonishing feats made even more amazing by the fact that Edward Leedskalnin managed it without taking help from anyone else and by using only some fundamental tools. The Coral Castle is a symbol of true love, devotion and dedication and stands proud today in the city as one of the few single-handedly built testimonies to lost love and its power and is a must-visit spot for your travels in Miami.

The Coral Castle is open from Sunday to Thursday from 8 in the morning to 6 in the evening and on Friday and Saturday from 8 in the morning to 9 in the evening. This schedule and these timings are followed all year round. The admission tickets for an adult is charged at $9.75, for children from 7 to 12 years of age is charged at $5.00 and for senior citizens is charged at $6.50. Children under 6 years of age are admitted for free.
