Dadeland Mall Miami is not like the majority of the malls in Miami which are open-air; it is an enclosed mall with a lot of good things to offer. However, when the management decided to match it with the other malls and opened it as an open-air mall, Jordan Marsh and Burdines were considered the anchor of the mall. Dadeland Mall's trademark is the high tower with capital letter D at the top which stood since the constructions of the building.
