Its popularity in the Miami Art Scene doesn't imply, in any way, that the Miami Art Museum is specifically catering to the creative needs of local artists. It is home to works of art from locations around the world, culminating in a melange of international tastes and ideas. This is a perfect reflection of the international mixing pot of cultures that is Miami.
The Museum holds regular programmes for members and visitors in an attempt to enhance their cultural grasp on the world around them. These include woodwork exhibitions, Reading Art and friendraisers. The museum is conveniently priced to ensure a wholesome learning experience to travellers from all income groups.
Reaching the museum is convenient and cheap as it can easily be accessed via Miami Metrorail at Government Central Station. The museum operates on all days except Mondays, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. The museum operates from 10 AM to 5 PM on all weekdays(with the exception of Monday) and operates from Noon through 5 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. It provides free entry to children under the age of 12, all members and students with a valid ID. Entry is also free on Second Saturdays.
