Miami is blessed with mild climate all year round. It is also the busiest cruise ship passenger port in the world. These are just some of the reasons why sun worshippers from all parts of the globe visit Miami. Below are some of the places you need to see on your Miami Beach trip.
First in the list is the Cape Florida Lighthouse, which is located on the southeast tip of Key Biscayne. IT is the oldest surviving lighthouse in the state of Florida. Its Keeper's Cottage is restored and currently houses a museum.

Miami has several special events that take place within the year and if you wish to be part of one of the events, you should plan your Miami Beach trip to coincide with that event. In October, it celebrates the Hispanic Heritage Festival, which is the oldest Hispanic culture festival in the USA, a month long celebration that ends with a street party called the Festival of the Americas.
Also in October is the Festival Miami. It is a month long international music festival that features concerts, world premieres, jazz, and chamber music.
In December, Miami has its own Boxing Day parade called the King Mango Strut Parade. It parodies traditional holiday parades and spoofs various current events and national figures.
