The mission of the Miami Children's Museum is to be able to teach children the joy of immersing themselves in learning in order to be able to explore their talents and make the best of their capabilities in all spheres of life.
The children are encouraged to undertake learning processes in a variety of spheres dealing with communication, cultural elements, arts and the various forms and social set up and values. These skills are imparted by the means of a variety of educational tools, learning tools, programs, workshops, interactive sessions, displays and exhibits.

The Miami Children's Museum was opened up in September of the year 2003 in a building measuring 56,500 square feet. The establishment is located on Watson Island which lies close to Downtown Miami. In the year 2005 the Miami Children's Museum received a monetary contribution of $500,000. The donation was made by the State of Florida Division of Cultural Affairs in order to encourage the development of the Charter School facilities and construct 10 more classrooms to enhance the organization and its positive impacts.
