Pirate Soul Museum

The $10 million museum was opened five years ago. Dressed as a swashbuckler, Pat Croce, an entrepreneur, cut the ribbon with a sword capturing the pirate essence that was to be depicted by the museum. The Pirate Soul museum is located at 524 Front Street, Key West. The museum has an unparalleled collection of more than 500 rare pirate artifacts. Some of the most interesting collections on display are Blackbeard’s weapons and Captain Kidd’s last journal. The museum turns out to be an amazing journey through the past 300 years of high adventure life at sea.

The museum is a recreation of the Caribbean in 1690s. The aesthetic appearance of the museum is such that it gives a feeling of traveling through cities wrecked by pirates. The aura of the dark windy alleys create an atmosphere of uncertainty like in pirate caves.

To add to the interest of the visitors, the animatronics by Disney never fail to amuse one and all. The children are up for a huge joy ride with a comprehensive entertainment tour through the museum.

The museum is open everyday from 9:00 am in the morning to 7:00 pm in the evening. Self guided tours take almost 2 hours to complete. The admission charge is slightly overpriced at $14 per adult and $8 for children. Children below the age of 4 years are admitted free of charge.
