Key West travels offer warm and sunny weather throughout the year. In summers the temperature may go up in the low 90 degrees Fahrenheit coupled with the humidity which can make it feel warmer. The winters are usually about 20 degrees less than the summers at near 65 degrees Fahrenheit. The weather may vary from year to year but this is the general climatic scene in Key West, Florida.
Key West is usually dry but has its distinct rainy seasons as well. May through October are the rainy seasons. There are quick showers at unpredictable times in the day. Sometimes, the rains are characterized by thunderstorms. Although the thunderstorms are loud, they are rare. Rains on the other hand are in the form of quick showers which last on a short period of time. These rains are a welcome break from the heat and dryness.

December through April is Dry in Key West with a lot of sunshine and little rain. Key West is prone to storms because of the proximity of the water bodies. The hurricane season starts in June and occurs through November. With the fall months being most active, evacuations in lieu of the storms are not a novel sight.
The Spring season is the best for Key West travel. This season is popular among the tourists and the effect shows on the prices of accommodation and other commodities in the area, which increase invariably. The hotel prices are amazing high during the spring seasons and between Christmas and the New Year despite of the odd season. Advance reservations are a must to avoid the hassle for a place to stay at these times.
