The Port of Miami is a wonderful seaport that is located on the Biscayne Bay in Miami. It is also a great tourist spot that connects the city to its neighborhood areas by large vessels and cruise ships. You can also go for cruising and boating in the water from the boat. But before you travel to the Port of Miami, you should be informed about the parking facilities in the area.
There are several parking options available at the Miami port. There are three parking facilities located close to the cruise terminals. There is no need for any reservations if you have to park at the port. The long-term parking charges are $20 per day for a regular vehicle. This often includes overnight parking or for a few days. The port charges you $7 for short-term parking. This implies when you come to see off somebody or plan for a short boat ride.
The port does not have a valet parking system. Owing to security reasons, rented cars are not allowed to park on the port parking premises. Large-sized vehicles such as buses and truck with trailers are charged an extra fee of $20 and are parked at the second parking lot. Fifty spaces are dedicated for disabled parking. The port authority accepts the fees either in cash or credit card including Visa Card, MasterCard and American Express.
There is an economy parking lot available in the vicinity. You can park your car on the North-West 45th Avenue. It is safe and you can save a lot of money as you have to pay only $8 per night per vehicle.
