
Take Your Kids to Miami Metro Zoo - A Great Family Vacation Spot
If you are in Miami for a family vacation, never forget to take your kids to the Miami Metro Zoo. This zoo is a great place for all members of a family, especially the little ones.
There's an area specially dedicated to the children. The area is named as the 'Children's Zoo'. The place is out of the ordinary because it will not only please your kid, but will also keep you engaged with several fascinating activities.
Here you will meet uncommon animal species like blue-tongue skink, Petunia, kinkajou and stitch. It also houses some well known genus like gold and blue macaw and Maggie. This area of the zoo will allow you enjoy riding camels. The camel rides can be availed between 11am and 4pm at an expense of $5 for every ride. You will love meeting the three trained camels offering you ride; they are Fluffy, Randy and Charlie.
There's an exhibit room named Toadstool that showcases reptiles and amphibians. Some of these exhibits are endangered species. Here you can see Egyptian tortoises (endangered species), bearded dragons and poison arrow frogs. You have more interesting views stored here, move towards the back of this room and you will get to see Butterscotch, the Burmese python of 13foot.
Are you feeling hungry during your trip? Then take a peep at the Snack Bar. Here you can enjoy munching sumptuous items like Cuban sandwiches, burgers, hotdogs, chicken items, finger chips and a wide range of deserts.
The other must visits at this kids' zoo in Miami are: Butterfly Garden, Meerkat Exhibit, The Petting Zoo and Wildlife Carousel.
